Internationally published photographer Beatrice Haverich exhibits regularly, her landscape photography
in monochrome and colour. Her work extends from the graphic black &white of urban landscapes to
the vast open landscapes and big blue skies of California. Hyper real images of Mexican Flowers to
atmospheric Night-time images, conveying the contrast between different cities as night falls. 'Cuba
Libre' shown in 2006, was an exhibition portraying this extraordinary country on the casp of change.
Following her MA in Photography&Design in 2004 at the University of Brighton, the resulting tree
photography book 'The Whisper of a Million Leaves' was published by Damiani and launched with an
exhibition in London at the Spitz Gallery in October 2006, opened by Jon Snow (ITN) the writer of the
foreword.
Following this success Beatrice is now curating external photographic projects as the 'Imagining the
Garden' exhibition, a research project by the University of Brighton using the Mass Observation Archive
which was shown at the Jubilee Library in Brighton in June 2007.
Fascinated by the early 20th Century design period of Art Deco, her current project is depicting Lidos,
indoor and private pools from that era across Europe and America. Part of this series was shown in
The British Journal of Photography 28th November 2007 issue as part of their 'Project Assistance
Awards' selection.
Beatrice has received a Honourable Mention Award for her 'No Diving' series at the Los Angeles based
International Photography Awards 2007 and for her book'The Whisper of a Million Leaves' in August
2008. She now works as a sessional photography lecturer at City College Brighton and at Birmingham
Institute of Art& Design (BIAD).
